Also to be dragged to court are the Congress for Progressive Change and its presidential candidate, Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) over a statement during his campaign in which he urged the masses to protect their votes.

Speaking exclusively with our correspondent in Kano, the president-general, Leaders of Ethnic Communities in Kano, Chief Tobias Idika, accused the CPC and Buhari of instigating the political unrest across the Northern parts of the country in the last week.

He said, “Leaders of non-natives in Kano, after a thorough deliberation on the massacre and ethnic cleansing perpetrated in Kano as a result of the outcome of the presidential poll, have decided that they will not let the matter go like that.”

Idika, who is also the chairman of Ohaneze Ndigbo in Kano, said that unlike in the past where non-natives simply resorted to God, this time, they had decided to use all available legal means to bring the perpetrators to book. (Punch)
