Pastor Arrested Over Alleged Missing Placenta

Share

A 45-year old pastor, Aniefiok Udoma, founder of Mountain Zion Flame of Fire, Egbeda, Lagos, has been arrested by the police from Area ‘G’, Ogba for allegedly stealing the placenta of his church member’s baby after the woman gave birth to a baby in his church.

In her petition to the Area ‘G’ Commander, Mrs. Imaobong Williams accused the pastor of stealing her baby’s placenta when he allegedly prophesied that she will die if she did not deliver the baby in his church.

The mother of four  said Udoma told her that her husband of over nine years wanted to kill her through the pregnancy. Imaobong added that her mother and sister, who were members of the pastor’s church put pressure on her and she agreed to deliver her baby in the church.

Mrs Williams alleged that immediately she put to bed, Udoma came and took away the placenta, adding that her efforts to get back the placenta proved abortive as the pastor threatened to deal with her family for demanding her baby’s placenta.

“I am now living in my mother’s house because of what the pastor told me. He said that my husband wanted to kill me with my pregnancy and I took my four kids and ran away from my matrimonial home, not knowing he was a fake,” he stated.

When P.M.NEWS visited the pastor at his church, he refused to comment on the matter. The IPO handling the case, Supol Hawa, confirmed that Mrs. Williams’ petition was received and  Pastor Udoma was arrested and granted bail. Investigation, she said, is ongoing on the allegation.
