Rivers ACN’s Moral Question

Share

What we have seen in the Rivers State Chapter of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) is criticism upon criticism of the Governor Chibuike Amaechi-led government of Rivers State in his second coming in office.

The political party has taken over the work of critics to mean opposition. It is always lending its voice, scavenging whatever Amaechi-led government has done without setting its priorities on how it feels it should be done, which has been the work of opposition political parties.

From the news of the governor purchasing a new aircraft to the N250B Bond and sundries, the political party has added a very ‘loud’ voice, without any blueprint on how it feels governance should be in place.

To some of us discerning minds of the Rivers State politics, we have wondered to a very gargantuan coverage on which moral tripod-stand the Rivers State Chapter of the Action Congress of Nigeria stands to experiment with the litmus paper that mirrors into the affairs of Rivers State, let alone, lending its harangue for the unsuspecting Rivers masses to purchase and perhaps, see it as a saving voice for their plight. Does it not take absolute morality to expose absolute immorality again?

It is very sad that this dinosaur of a party is applying everything possible to come back to the public embrace, with a dint of media war and abracadabra, changing appearances in order to either deceive or to hide important identities of what a genuine opposition political party should mean and stand for.

The party’s disgruntled politics in Rivers State is appalling, disguising its failure beneath a cheerful appearance, by forcing to appear cheerful, and disguising the fact which can never be concealed.

From what could be observed so far of the party, what is left of it is its public relation desk which has been tirelessly using the media to sell the party’s ‘hard to sell’ image which was made churlish by its important stakeholders that caused political mishap in the event of the recently past elections in the state.

The party is today donating its voice to the public even when the voice has crass tones and cracked rhythms and rhymes.

The general drift of the party’s affairs was heading towards oblivion, but now still in a state of internal inactive and waiting for things to happen on its favour, only if the government can extend crusts to it.

With the way and manner the Rivers ACN is operating in the state, its activities are causing most people to have a feeling that everything is turning around and feeling that the party cannot stand firm.

This is making most people to laugh silly at the party, some laughs are observed while many are inside.

Like a gigolo, Rivers ACN is suffering from political eye disease involving gradual loss of sight, (otherwise called glaucoma). Yet, it is still fighting to see the evening twilight, but oblivious that it is gloating over its own ruins.

As it stands today, the Rivers ACN is twisted and rough, covered with knobs, making its genuine adherents wailing and gnashing the teeth; yet the party is gnawing at every attempts of Amaechi-led government of Rivers State.

This party, without doubt, has a disease majority doctors can not define, swelling through its thyroid gland, connecting to every parts of it.

It is dangerous when members of any organization are gourmands; the members would automatically become enjoyers and experts in this aberration called choice.

But this type of enjoyment is always delicate to such an organization, resulting to causing painful swellings in taking a firm stand in reasoning and in opposing, because from the head, toes, knees and fingers, such a people are jaundiced with overbearing and overeating of stew of steak and vegetables, seasoned with paprika.

It is very incongruous the way we have lost such a brilliant and precious party as Rivers ACN to filthy politics in Rivers State.
