THMP to chart new direction for Nigeria

Share
As part of grand moves to chart a new course for the nation, Town Hall Meetings Project (THMP) Nigeria, a group committed to nation-building and good governance, will today host Nigerians to an afternoon of celebrations and special prayers to rededicate Nigeria to God and halt its gradual slide into chaos.

According to the Convener/Co-ordinator of THMP Nigeria, Rev. George Ashiru, activities to mark the day, already declared the "Day of National Transformation," include inspirational talks and speeches by young Nigerians on their vision for the future. Billed for 2p.m at the All Christian Fellowship/RCCG Chapel, National Stadium, Surulere, the event will also see THMP giving out Nigerian flags, stickers and brochures to attendees.

"We will give out faith, hope and love. An eight-year old girl will read a heart-rending poem, the national anthem will be sung by a lady of faith," Ashiru said.

"The speech that galvanised Bayelsa youths into action will be read and circulated, Patricia Omoqui's message to Nigerians will be read and circulated. A new vision for a greater future will be espoused by emerging leaders."
