Checking out Prez. Candidate Rick Santorum

Share

Every now and then, the activism in me is exported to the arena of politics.

When you offer yourself for public service, it should not be a means to an end. It should not even be a job and it should not be treated so when compensation packages are put together. You must be ready to serve for free if necessary.

Serving the people should also not be an ego trip as is the case with many politicians. It should strictly be what it was meant to be, serving the people for the good of man and woman kind.

I reached out to the Rick Santorum campaign to discuss an important piece of his agenda. I came out of the meeting somewhat disappointed. Rick has a good message which is often distorted by the main stream media.

I was interested in his strategy to re-ignite and repatriate manufacturing jobs back to the United States. Most people acquired their expertise from watching the news. Almost all of the news anchors, majority of them have never visited a manufacturing operation but somehow they know everything that went wrong.

In the coming weeks, I will be sharing my experiences and knowledge gained from this meeting and my over 18 years of being intimately involved in the manufacturing sector from a finance functional area with everyone.

A friend of mine had for a long time offered me the opportunity to write a line or two on a regular basis in his widely circulated publishing outfit. I believe the time has finally come to put this together with Nigeria as a case study.

Please stay tuned!

This is Hillary(ous) Verdict!
