Senator Magnus Ngei Abe, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was a Minority Leader in the Rivers State House of Assembly, a former Commissioner for Information in the state and Secretary to the State Government. Abe, who currently represents Rivers South East in the Senate, is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum (Downstream). He chaired the Senate Joint Committee on Petroleum, Downstream, Upstream, Finance and Appropriation.In this interview, Abe bares his mind on the declaration of state of emergency in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states and the crisis in Rivers PDP, among other issues.
