ACN ‘ll lead opposition to power – Tinubu

The ACN leader said that there is nothing wrong with plans by opposition political parties to form an alliance to wrestle power from Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Speaking with airport correspondents at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos on his way for an overseas trip with the Osun State governor, Rauf Aregbesola and the Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly.
He said that at the right time ACN through its spokesman will unveil its agenda to the nation on how it intends to forge an alliance with other opposition parties to bring about the conduct of free and fair elections in Nigeria to give Nigerians the kind of leadership that they truly deserve.
He reiterated the plans by ACN to take over the reins of governance in Ogun and Oyo states, affirming that all the speculations and permutations about the grand alliance by opposition parties is the handiwork of the PDP, which is set to frustrate attempts by the parties to wrestle power from it.
Tinubu said that all the permutations in the media is allowed, but that it will not discourage ACN from its determination to offer Nigerians a platform that is robust with development ideology.
Says ‘I dey laugh’
He explained that the purported victory of PDP at the recent election in Ikorodu only amounts to a grand delusion because ACN only carried out a test run of the election, affirming that the party will demonstrate its strenght in the next election.
Tinubu said: “PDP is recovering in the South-West; I dey laugh, I laugh. Go and write it down, we are going to take over Ogun and Oyo states. All those permutations that PDP is solid on the ground only makes me laugh.
“I will see whether it is Sambo that will go and campaign in all the areas that PDP is banking on. The next election will demonstrate our strength.”
“I can tell you go and write it down PDP will not win in Lagos State, no matter what they try to do, ACN will beat them hands down, no matter the candidate we field, the people will vote because we are party of ideology.”
He further said : “PDP can continue to delude themselves affirming that what should There is crime for thugs. That is what Nigerians are saying that oppositions should make all effort to form an alliance that will get rid of PDP.
Generally people are just tired of PDP. You have seen what was done in Kenya, the rainbow coalition. All the speculations you are reading in the paper are either being pushed bythose who will not want even communications between parties. What about
discussing evenj common objectives for free and fare elections.
What aboutdiscussion in joining hands to call for code of conduct on election Each time they see the opposition together, they get into various speculation andpermutation. Are not you not even suspicious of PDP wanting to frustrate those alliances being talked about and we have our constitutional right of association.
I laugh, l dey laugh
The illusion of the grandeur that PDP is trying to celebrate. They didn’t know that is just a test run of what they might be up to even though people are challenging the integrity of the election, to me an election that is for the tenure of nothing more six months, let the generation election come.
Let them continue to delude themselves, l am not bothered. They will not win lagos.”
Tinubu further said : “ We did not win because it was a test run, there was no campaign, we did not nominate until two days before the election, if all the PDP stalwarts will descend on any state, including Sambo, they will not win, even in the same constituency, in Ikorodu, where Ogunlewe was a commissioner, they did not win the election, they never win any election. Goodluck to them, they
will wake up to reality that Lagos is untouchable, they will loose Oyo State, Ogun State, go and write it down.
The PDP can continue to give excuses and all sorts of reasons, they will not win. After all every principal was a successful.
We are getting ready for the next general elections, we are going to wrestle power from the PDP, throughout this country , in the ACN we are not voting for the individual but for the party, because of the ideology.the principles and integrity, anybody we field will win.”
