Fayose clinches Ekiti Central senatorial ticket .

The stage is now set for an epic battle in Ekiti Central Senatorial District. Former governor of Ekiti State governor, Mr. Peter Ayodele Fayose, has picked the Labour Party (LP) ticket to battle the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates.

According to a statement jointly signed by the state party chairman and secretary, Chief Gabriel Falayi and Pastor Kola Oluwawole respectively, the former governor polled 103 votes to clinch the ticket. 

The statement also stated that the primaries, which took place last week, saw Chief Segun Akinwumi, a former commissioner in the administrations of Niyi Adebayo and Fayose clinching the ticket for Ekiti North Senatorial District and Biodun Fasakin for Ekiti South Senatorial District.

The following candidates also emerged as party flag bearers to the House of Representatives: Gboyega Oguntuase-Ekiti North I; Comrade Idowu Kolawole Faleye - Ekiti North II; Olukayode Oso-Ekiti Central I; Dipo Ogunleye - Ekiti Central II; Akinyele Awodimula-Ekiti South I and Banji Omotoso-Ekiti South II.

The House of Assembly candidates are: Talabi Odunayo-Ado I; Omotoyinbo Wale-Ado II; Peter Temitope-Irepodun/Ifelodun I and Emmanuel Egunlusi-Irepodun/Ifelodun II.

Others are: Omoleewo Muyiwa Ido/Osi I; Adaramodu Adegboyega-Ekiti S/W I; Olubodun James Bamidele-Ekiti S/W II and Isinkalu Titilayo-Oye I.
