Discredited Oteh Resumes Today At SEC

The discredited Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Ms. Arunma Oteh will resume today at the commission.
She was, last week, recalled from an indefinite suspension slammed on her following allegations of financial recklessness.
Her recall has caused controversy within and outside the regulatory body.
Some SEC members of staff had staged protest on hearing the news of her return.
The Minister of Finance and Co-ordinating Minister for the economy, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was said to have met with the commission's staff last Friday where she told them to sheathe their swords.
Oteh's tenure has been characterised by consistent lack of confidence in the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
