True Face of Lagos Vs. Fashola: EFCC arrests Olowolafe

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), yesterday, in Lagos, arrested Mr. Tunji Olowolafe, the major contractor to Lagos State government.
The arrest is coming on the heels of the visit to the EFCC chairman, Mrs. Farida Waziri earlier in the week in Abuja by a group known as the True Face of Lagos, alleging sundry corrupt practices by the Governor Babatunde Fashola-led administration in the state.
Contacted on the arrest, EFCC spokesman, Mr. Femi Babafemi, confirmed the arrest, saying that Olowolafe was being held in Lagos.
He said for now, Olowolafe, is the only one in the commission’s net because he was linked with several contracts running into tens of billions of naira that were highly inflated.
Asked when Olowolafe would be charged to court, Babafemi said investigation is ongoing.
